6-11-1999 11:26AM FROM ADCO/BAYER/CHEROKEE 303 452 4515 p,2
• .
3. We will make clearer throughout the text and on the maps, that none of the
PSCo. right-of-way will be mined uriless and until an appropriate agreement with
PSCo. is executed and an amendment to the DMG permit processed and
approved. The only disturbance in the PSCo. right-of-way under this permit will
be installation of the slurry wall aaoss the PSCo. right-of--way in two places, and
that will only be undertaken after approval for this slurry wall installation is
obtained from PSCo.
4. Per our discussion on May 28 with yourself, Cazl Mount, et. al, no changes in
response to this comment. That portion of the conveyor that will remain
throughout the operation is already shown on the Exhibit C-1 Mining Plan rnap,
and only temporary movable conveyors will be utilized in the mining portions of
the site.
5. Per our discussion on May 28 with yourself, Carl Mount, et. al, no changes will
be made in either the text or maps on temporary and/or pern>,anent roads, except
to re-emphasize in the text, where appropriate, that no permanent roads will be
constructed and only temporary roads to service and to transport material by
front end loaders to the temporary movable conveyors that utilized in the mining
portions of the site. In response to your questions about storm water
management, we will add to the text in Exhibit D -Mining Plan, where
appropriate, the following:
(A) Storm water from any temporary roads and other disturbed areas will be
managed by grading to direct storm water from disturbed areas into
excavated azeas and be contained on site.
(B) A Storm Water Management Plan (SWMP) is being prepazed and a
SWMP Permit for Storm Water Discharges for a Sand and Gravel
Operation will be obtained from CDPHE, and a copy of the application
for this Permit and the SWMP for this Permit will be submitted to DMG
prior to initiating any operation.
2
