<br />Areas 1 end 2 are to be reclaimed as ponds. Sidealopes on the ponds, sad all <br />areas to be reclaimed,will be held 4o a maximum of 3H:1V to 10 lest below <br />the waterline end a maximum of 2H:1 V below that depth. Areas above the <br />waterline will be covered with a minimum of 6° of topsoil. The banks of the <br />ponds will be reseeded down to the waterline. Areas to be seeded, will be <br />disked and raked using coaveational farming implements. The seed will be <br />distributed by broadcasting, therefore the seeding rate below will be <br />doubled. The following seed mixture, which was recommended by the local <br />Sail Conservation Service ofitce will be used: <br />Thicksptke wheatgrass (Crltana) 5.5• PLS/Ac. <br />Side-oats grams (Vaughn) 2.25• PLS/Ac. <br />Switchgrass (Nebr. 28) 1.125• PLS/Ac. <br />8.875• PLS/Ac. <br />At the request of the property owner, overburden and topsoil will be spread <br />along the western perimeter of 4he owners property in the arse indicated on <br />Exhibit °E°. Grading in this area will direct drainage generally to the <br />northeast. The slope will be less than 5~. There will be a minmum of 6° of <br />topsoil spread over the entire fill area. This area will be reseeded with the <br />above seed mixture and methods, unless the owner decides to plant a crop. <br />All areas to be reseeded will be fertilised with a 18-46-0 Diammonium <br />Phosphate mixture at a rate of 100 pounds per aces. After the seed mixture <br />ie well established, the Owner will evaluate the need for weed oonuol. If <br />weed oflnuoi is necessary, the Owner will oonuact with as established weed <br />onnuol service to neat the weeds. Care will be taken in spraying for weeds <br />near the ponds to prevent contamination ~ the water. A minimum of 30 <br />5ouixland 1?opulars ("seedless cottonwoods") wlll be planted to enhance the <br />®vildlite habitat around the perimeter of the ponds. <br />Approximately 12.7 acres will be reclaimed. Approximately 10.1 acres of <br />this total may be planted es a crop by the owner, in which case only 2.6 <br />acres will need to be reseeded. The rest of the area will be in either ponds <br />or will not have been disturbed by the mining oparetions. Surface acreage <br />and depths of the ponds are shown on Exhibit °F'. <br />
