I~~ •
State of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation
VIII. Exhibit L - Reclamation Costs
Page 6
This exhibit mentions that removal and direct
deposition of overburden in the adjacent cut is
considered as quarry operation. Final grading
and revegetation is expected to cost about $450
per acre on the average. Please enumerate any
specific additional details required.
VIV. Exhibit M
Fremont County approval did not include the
Concrete quarry area added in the permit appli-
cation revision. The Fremont County Planning
Director had resigned prior to an April visit
to include this area. As no one was available
to furnish this information we had hoped the
permit could be approved subject to clarification
of this item. Ideal has owned the land for more
than 50 years that surrounds the previously worked
Concrete quarry. Several items are available to
indicate Ideal's intention to operate in this
area in the future.
X. Blasting Permit
Ideal has a Class 20 license N50001620C900034 to
manufacture and store explosives, from the U.S.
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. This
license covers Ideal's Colorado, New Mexico and
Oklahoma quarries as located in the southwest
ATF Region. This permit expires March 3, 1979
and is renewed annually.
Ideal's Colorado plants also have a permit issued
annually on a calendar year basis from the Colorado
Division of Mines to store and use explosives.
Please advise if additional information should be required at
this time.
Sincerely,
R.
