It was perhaps not made clear that
~
;~~;{
~``" the only exceptions would be in blending with
`
fi'r NAPS areas completed prior to the effective date of

f°r~~~ the Reclamation Regulations or minor areas where
special conditions may be encountered.
We do not feel it is practical to attempt to
present reclamation timetables and details in
areas so far into the future that it is pure
speculation at this time. It is felt that
special conditions and future details will be
worked out with Mined Land Reclamation personnel
as they are encountered, or as amendments are
indicated.
~,Zj Exhibit E, Page 7 references an attached copy of
a recommended seeding mixture which apparently
Aa`~" was not included in all copies of the revised
R~',,~dN ~ application. We will obtain another copy of
this seeding mixture recommendation for all
r i' application copies. Since the permit application
'~''~~t was revised Ideal has executed an agreement with
the Canon City District Sail Conservation service
to conduct p1Rt test work on revegetation.
It was explained that there were no drainage-ways
involved in the Portland West quarry. A water
impoundment from minor drainage along the quarry
floor has existed here for many years and has
presented no problems in the semi-arid climate.
We see no need to redisturb this area. The Bear
Creek drainage in the future Portland East quarry
has been referenced above. There are no drainage-
ways from the currently anticipated future Concrete
quarry.
VI. Exhibit J - Vegetation Information
This exhibit refers to Exhibit I which gives an
inventory of the present vegetation types as
furnished by the Soil Conservation Service.
VII. Exhibit K - Climate
The climatological information furnished is from
published data most readily available. Estimates
have been obtained that area winter temperatures
range from about 5 to 70° F and summer temperatures
flrom 50 to 100° F. Spring and fall temperatures
range from about 30 to 85° F.
