• Mapping Units C10, D10, and F10 <br />Binco silty clay loam <br />This is a deep, well-drained soil on moderately to very steep ridges and <br />mountain sideslopes. It formed in material weathered from shale. This <br />series is found in close association with Aaberg silty clay (35) and is <br />confined almost entirely to the Eckman Park area southwest of Eckman <br />Park. The vegetation there is low sagebrush. <br />Included in this unit is Aaberg silty clay loam (35). <br />Typically the surface layer is grayish brown silty clay loam about 4 <br />inches thick. The subsoil is grayish brown clay about 22 inches thick, <br />• and the substratum is light brownish gray clay extending to 60 inches or <br />more. <br />Permeability is very slow. Effective rooting depth is 60 inches. <br />Available water capacity is moderate. Surface runoff is rapid, erosion <br />hazard is high from water. <br />• <br />-17- <br />
