Bad Boys of Cripple C,lc Mining Company, Inc.
,Limited Impact 110 Operations Permit Application
6.3.4 EXHIBIT D -RECLAMATION PLAN
(1) The overall reclamation plan would be to replace the excavated materials
back into the pit at a slope that would be similar to the premining surface,
replace the recovered topsoil, and seed the area with an appropriate seed
mixture. The future land use would be the same as the current land use i.e..
rangeland.
(a) It is anticipated that backfilling would occur contemporaneously with mining,
as mining proceeds to the north and to the northeast. Mining depths are limited
by the boundary considerations. The largest pit volume to be open at any one
time should not exceed 850 cu. yds.
(b) The gradient of the reclaimed slopes should match the premining slopes,
which are estimated at about 3:1.
(c) Revegatation of the site would be with native species consistent with the
existing vegetation.
A typical seed mixture would be;
Species % of Mixture
Western Wheatgrass
Streambank Wheatgr
Mammoth Wildrye or
(Russian Wildrye)
Arizona Fescue
Meadow Brome or
(Smooth Brome)
Total
30
3SS 20
20
15
15
100
Lbs. Fertilizer will
be applied at the time of seeding if required. Seeding will be broadcast, on the
roughened reclaimed land surface.
(d) Only the existing access road will remain after reclamation. There are no
ponds or permanent buildings on site.
(e) There will be no dumps, tailings, buildings, or other features on site to be
reclaimed.
(f) Reclamation costs. The estimated total reclamation cost. based on an open pit
volume of 850 cu. yds. and backfilling with a front end loader is about ~u3000.
Attached to the application is an estimate from an independent private
contractor as to the costs of backfilling a final mining pit. These costs
assumed that the entire pit was left open at the end of the project which is
not the plan.
Page 12
