r _" ; Bad Boys of Cripple ~k Mining Company, Inc. •
Limited Impact 110 O erations Permit Application
s'
o TOP BENCH
15' v
I ~
35' \
,BOO
B'
BACKSLOPE ANGLE ~/7`
your -\_
PIT SLOPE ANGLE
(a) Mining would commence shortly after this application is approved and
would continue for many years depending on the continuity of the deposit and
the markets. It is anticipated that activities would continue for at least 5
years.
(b) Historic mining activities have disturbed much of the existing topsoil.
Whatever topsoil can be salvaged will be stockpiled and preserved for
reclamation.
(c)(d) The turquoise deposits begin at grass roots levels, and continue to
depths estimated to be about 100 feet, the present mining plan anticipates
mining from the surface down about 50 feet, primarily in areas that can be
dug with a excavator without the need for blasting. Therefore there is no
overburden. waste rock will be stacked in the permit area.
(e) Mining will be done by contract or by the operator, there will not be any
offices, processing facilities, and at this phase, underground operations,
located at the site. The access road is shown on Map 3 Exhibit E.
(f) It is estimated that the pit may be as large as 30 ft by 15 ft and 50 ft deep,
and the waste disposal areas to be about the same size. There will be no
impoundments, and one safety bench due to the shallow nature of the
operation.
(g) The existing road will be used for access, little improvements are
anticipated.
Page 11
