• RESPONSE <br />See response [o Rule 2.04.4, Cultural Resources. <br />(i) Any land within the proposed permit area and adiacent area which is within the boundaries <br />of anv units of the National Svs[em of Trails or Wild and Scenic Rivers System includine smdv rivers designated <br />under Section (5)(a) of the Wild and Scenic River Act; and <br />RESPONSE <br />There is no land within die proposed permit area and adjacent area which is within the boundaries of any <br />units of the National System of Trails or Wild and Scenic Rivers System, including study rivers designated <br />under Section n 5(a) of the Wild and Scenic River Act, therefore, no map indicating the above lands is <br />included in [his permit revision application. <br />(i) A map of the existing topography within the area to be affected during the estimated life <br />of the operation and adiacent lands, and sufficient slope measurements to adequately represent [he existing land <br />surface confgun[ion of the proposed permit area. Slopes shall be measured and recorded according to the <br />following. <br />(i) Each measurement shall consist of an angle of inclination alone the prevailing <br />slope extending 100 linear feet above and below or beyond the coal outcrop or the area to be disturbed or, where <br />this is impractical, at locations specified by the Division. <br />• (ii) Where the area has been previously mined [he measurements shall extend at least <br />100 feet beyond the limits of mining disturbances, or anv other distance determined by the Division [o be <br />representative of the premising configuration of the land. <br />(iii) Slope measurements shall take into account natural variations iit slope, to provide <br />accurate representation of the range of natural slopes and reflect geomorphic differences of the area [o be <br />disturbed. <br />(k) The location and extent of known workings of active, inactive, or abandoned underground <br />mines including mine openings to the surface within the proposed permit area or in the case of underground <br />mining activities the location and extent of existing or previously surface mined areas Within the proposed permit <br />area. <br />(I) Other relevant information required by the Division. <br />RESPONSE <br />See Map 23, Mine Plan. <br />(2) Maps, plans, and cross-sections included in the permit application which are required by 2.10 <br />shall be prepared by or under the direction of, and certified bv, a qualified registered professional engineer or <br />professional geologist. with assistance from experts in related fields such as land surveying and landscape <br />architecture and shall be updated by the permittee as required by the Division. <br />J <br />MR 97-1~4 2.10-3 Revised 9/10/97 <br />
