Crane <br />Regional Director <br />Office of Surface Mining <br />Brooks Tvaer <br />1020-15th Street <br />Denver, N 80202 <br />Re: Stipulations on the West Mine Reopenings <br />Dear Mr. Crane: <br />Attached please find information to answer some of the stipula- <br />tions for the approval of Western Slope Carbon's West Pti ne Rehabilitation. <br />Stipulations 1, 2, 3, and 4 have been anscaered in a letter to <br />Marion Dodson Paul with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation. A copy of <br />this letter along with the enclosures is attached. <br />5. Calculations demonstrating that all culverts and ditches <br />are ~rrectly sized are attached. <br />6. The portals referred to under Stipulation 6 should be 1, 2 <br />and 3 instead of 3, 4, and 5. Drawings of the rera;T,;T,g walls to built <br />above these portals are attached. <br />7. Ale have eliminated Yellow Sweet Clover fmm our revegetation <br />8. To avid any rLmoff from entering the 30" culvert a wncrete <br />catch basin will be built at the top of the hill where the 30" ctitlvert <br />begins.
