Technical Revision
page 4
• Highway 133 and discharge through a 1/2 culvert energy dissipator
into the North Fork of the Gunnison River. The westerly
diversion will flow through a diversion ditch into a culvert
under Colorado 133, through a 1/2 culvert to the railroad tracks,
under the railroad tracks in a culvert and dissipate through
a I/2 culvert discharging into the river. The 30 inch culvert
from the gulch has been covered ir. great detail during previous
discussions.
Areas 1 and lA drain along the north side of the highway,
through a culvert at the west end of the parking lot, then
through a diversion ditch into the West Mine (USS) pond. Area
2 drains through the same diversion ditch on the west and another
• on the east (between areas 2 and 4A) into the West Mine (USS)
And.
Areas 2A, 4A, 3 and 9 drain via a diversion ditch north of the
railroad tracks to a culvert feeding the Sediment Pond (Norris).
Areas delineated (1, lA, 2, etc.) are discussed in detail in
the sediment calculations of l~hibit T mentioned above.
Water discharging through culverts will be dissipated with
1/2 culverts in those instances described above. Other culverts
indicated on the map will have rock lining the ditch immediately
• below the culvert.
