• MINOR REVISION <br />Ash Monitoring Well. AMW-2 <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology is aware of the current situation of Ash <br />Monitoring Well (AMW-2). Coors Energy Company has opted to replace the <br />Well. Accordingly, this will comply with stipulations set forth in the Ash Disposal <br />permit document. The new location will be approximately ten (10) feet east of the <br />original AMW-2 Well. <br />The specific design criteria for this Well is given below: <br />Borehole <br />a) Borehole Diameter 13.6 inches <br />b) Maximum Borehole depth 50 feet <br />Casin String <br />a) Perforated casing - 32/1000 slot, 6" ID, schedule 40, flush thread PVC, 39'0" <br />to 50'0" maximum. <br />b) Blank casing - 6" ID, schedule 40, flush thread PVC, 0'0" to 39'0" <br />• Completion <br />a) Gravel pack #4 to #30 size 37'0" to 50'0" <br />b) Cement grout, neat cement, portland 0'0" to 37'0" <br />c) Centralizers, steel 1 at 15' and 40' <br />Description <br />The Well will be constructed using an Auger drilling technique. The borehole will <br />be drilled with a 13 5/8" hollow stem auger to five (5) feet below initial water <br />contact or to a maximum depth of fifty (50) feet below ground surface. No <br />circulating fluid will be used. <br />After reaching the desired depth, the borehole will be thoroughly cleaned of <br />cuttings. The casing will then be run into the borehole in the following sequence <br />(bottom to top): <br />* 2' silt trap <br />* Perforated casing <br />* Blank casing to surface <br />* Cap <br />57 a 4193 <br />
