Stanton:
JAN 20 198}
MINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
Colo. Dept. of Natural Resources
RE: Your memo of January 10, 1984
As per your memo concerning adequacy of our Limited Impact
applications, I will submit the following by number:
Dryland Operations
File # Pit
77-404 (amendment) Cedar Creek
83-148 Neal
83-150 Carrico
83-153 Watkins
83-157 Bedrock
83-158 Cadgene
83-159 Gleason
83-160 Mitchell
83-162 Nucla
83-207 Hogback
1. Item I deals with the thickness of topsoil to be stripped,
stockpiled and stabilized. As stated before, all of these sites
have thicknesses of topsoil less than 3-6 inches. In many cases
topsoil is nearly non-existent. I have enclosed a comprehensive
Reclamation Plan (copies to be enclosed with each application)
which take this fact into account and propose temporary stabili-
zation and reclamation best suited for the pits involved. This
Reclamation Plan has an attached seeding plan recommended by SCS.
2. Item 2 - We will mark the pit boundaries or lease
boundaries as suggested.
3. Item 3 - Location maps for each application are attached.
