RECEIVED
Exhibit C
FEB 2 8 2006
63.3 The mining plan for Carrizo Stone sandstone quarry is as follows: m~~s~o~ of ~n~oe~ai: a~a ceoioyy
(Also map included under map section/exhibit e}
(a)Specify the estimated dates that mining will commence and end:
Present plans are for mining to start as soon as permit is approved. The 9.9 acre
quarry is anticipated [o have at least a 20 year life. The life of this 110 permit is
dependant upon the amount of and feasibility of selling the sandstone for
construction use, and will vary as demand/sales occur. This sandstone will be
used for construction purposes only and will be sold for private and commercial use.
(b)The depth of plant growth medium to be salvaged for reclamation will vary
from 0"to 6". Although it is baca-clay loam topsoil it is an adequate growth medium.
Established topsoil stockpiles will be saved on site and moved only when needed to prepare
the site for seeding. Topsoil stockpiles will be seeded with 7#PLS per acre of buffalo grass
and blue gramma grass to reduce the chance of erosion. Plant growth stockpiles will be
located separate from other stockpiles. The location of stockpiles are shown on Exhibit E
map.
(c)The overburden depth varies from 0" tol foot.
(d)Present indications aze that the deposit will have 5 to 10 feet to be mined.
(e)The major components of the mining operation are limited. Access to the quarry
will be by County Road 3 and an existing ranch road which the owners wants ]eft for use upon
completion. County Road 3 connects to Highway 160 East, this distance is approximately 9
miles. There will be no office, shop /maintenance facility. The only equipment used will
be skid steers, masonry saws and stone cutter. Production is expected to be roughly 5000
tons per year. Since this a dry open quarry operation there will be no underground openings
such as adits of ventilation facilities.
(f)The only existing significant disturbance to the land is an old pre-law quarry of about
1 acre, that will be permitted quarry excavation. All topsoil is gone and no plant growth has
been established. This area is in the permit azea of the 9.9 acres. There will be no mine benches,
impoundments or water rock disposals.
