EXHIBIT 29
• RILL AND GULLY PLAN
1. Areas of revegetation, whether permanent or temporary,
will be inspected once in the spring following snow melt,
and monthly from June through September.
2. Reseeding of erosion resulting from spring runoff will
be completed between May 15 and June 1.
3. Reseeding of erosion resulting from summer storm events
will be completed between October 15 and November 1.
4. Temporary measures to control erosion may be used in
lieu of seeding for areas of minor erosion. Temporary
measures may include hay bales, rock checks, snow fence and
other appropriate measures deemed effective.
5. The use of field judgement is essential to control and
repair of rills and gullies. Most of the repairs can be
completed with a rake and shovel along with hand mulching
and reseeding. However, extensive erosion may require the
use of heavy equipment.
• 6. In the event that a natural water course seems to be
developing which would require annual maintenance, rip-rap,
Reno Mattresses, and/or other erosion control devices may be
used to stabilize the area without the approval of OMLR.
These structures may be kept as a permanent structure in the
post mining reclamation plan, with the approval of OMLR on a
case by case basis.
7. Areas subject to this plan will include the reclaimed
areas listed in the Annual Reclamation Report. Maintenance
work completed during the year will be noted in the report,
as will the installation of any temporary or permanent
control structures.
8. The Annual Reclamation Report will be incorporated into
Exhibit 29.
\J
