Under no circumstances <br />will the regraded slopes be steeper than a 1:1 horizontal to vertical <br />ratio. <br />Water <br />Based upon a review of records pertaining to the geogra?hic loca- <br />tion of persons owning water rights, on file at the Colorado Departirznt <br />of Water Resources in Greeley, the operation of the Schwartz~~ialder mine <br />does not cause injury to existing water rights. It should be noted <br />that at no time during the history of mining operations, ~•+hi~h dates <br />• back to 1953, has there been a contention that the mine has jisturbed <br />any water rights. (For further information regarding water use, see <br />Exhibit G.) <br />Referring to Exhibit G, the quality of treated mine water dis- <br />charge is in compliance with all applicable water quality la~~s or <br />regulations. <br />Cotter Corporation has not in the past and will not, for the <br />remaining life of the mine, engage in any activities that reluire com- <br />pliance with Colorado dredge and fill requirements. <br />Cotter Corporation has not constructed any temporary or large silta- <br />tion structures and therefore will not require the removal of these <br />structures during the reclamation phase of the operation. <br /> <br />E-7 <br />
