R.90W, Sec.B. <br />WILDLIFfi SPECIES LIST: Dear. elk. black bear, mountain lion, <br />blue grouse, coyote, bobcat, raptors including golden and bald <br />angle, small mammals and non-game birds. <br />ENDANGERED SPECIES IMPACTED: Northern bald eagle (winter) <br />ASSESSMENT OF IMPACT ON WILDLIFE: The majority of impacts have <br />occurred in the area oY both proposed storage piles. <br />Pile A will be in a location which has served as an <br />equipment storage area over the past years. There will be very <br />little actual disturbance o! the land in order to eetabliah this <br />pile. There is a topsoil storage pile Juat north of and ad~acsnt <br />to the proposed storage site. There is very little current <br />wildlife use of the urea and impacts will bs minimal. <br />Pile B will be in a location which has been graded and moat <br />native vegetation hne been removed. This pile will require that <br />the existing rlparim area, which is about 50 teat wide the <br />length of the area, be inundated. Elk Creek rill be placed in a <br />culvert for approximately 200 yards. Approximately eevsn <br />cottonwood trees end all other riparian vegetation rill• be <br />removed. There ie a sic foot chain link fence running across the <br />entire Elk Creek valley on the north side o! this pile. The on1Y <br />place open to wildlife ingress and egress ie in the bottoo of the <br />valley where the proposed pile will bs located. Wildlife use of <br />the Brea mostiY consists of moving through the Brea.
