1
' 1. Upon completion of drilling activities at a given site, all
debris, trash, and drilling related equipment will be
removed from the site.
2. When the mud pit is sufficiently dry, it will be filled with
stored subsoil material and compacted to minimize any
settling. All remaining material will be redistributed on
and around the drill pad with a backhoe and/or bulldozer to
achieve as closely as possible, the original contour of the
site.
' 3. Topsoil will be distributed as evenly as possible over the
disturbed pad area.
' 4. The entire drill pad area will be re-seeded using the
following seed mix or a mixture developed in consultation
with the appropriate landowner or that specified by the
' Bureau of Land Management.
Species PLS lb/Acre
' Smooth Brome 7.0
Intermediate Wheatgrass 6.0
' Crested Wheatgrass 3.0
Alfalfa 1.0
TOTAL 17.0 PLS lbs/acre
' All roads and trails used or constructed during the exploration
program will be rehabilitated. Existing roads will be returned
' to a condition equal to or better than their condition prior to
commencement of the exploration activities. New roads which have
been constructed will be leveled and scarified, top soil
redistributed where applicable, and seeded, once they are no
' longer needed.
The reestablishment of vegetation on reclaimed sites and
' abandoned roads is the planned method to prevent erosion.
The estimated reclamation liability is presented in Appendix 1,
' for the purpose of assisting in determining bonding requirements.
Seismic Survev Operations:
' Four seismic survey lines are planned as a portion of this
exploration plan. The locations of these lines are illustrated
' on Map 1. The total length of these lines is approximately 11.75
miles. Lines 1, 2, and 4 are located on private surface
overlying federal coal, while Line #3 is located on a combination
' of federal and privately owned coal and private surface. The
total length of lines 1 and 2 are 6 miles. The length of line 3
27
1
