If your
responses cannot be submitted by that date, please submit a written request for extension of the
decision due date. Failure to submit either the responses to this review or a decision due date
extension request, prior to August 6, 1999; may result in denial of this application.
Please be sure to file any changes to the application, submitted in response to this review, with
the original application at the Clerk and Recorder's Office. Item no. 1 1 on the permit application form indicates a post mining land use of rangeland.
However, the reclamation plan cross-section indicates that a pond will be created. Please
ensure that this post-mining land use designation is correct.
2. Please submit any available flow rate information that is available for Kannah Creek.
3. Pumping of groundwater and evaporative losses from exposing groundwater are considered to
be consumptive uses for which a well permit may need to be obtained. Please be aware that
this permit should be in place prior to exposing or pumping any groundwater. The operator
will need to contact the Colorado Division of Water Resources prior to affecting any
groundwater resource.
4. Please identify the source of water to be used for dust control or other operations at this site.
5. Please include, in the weed control plan, a proposed annual schedule for performing site
monitoring for weeds. Also, include a timing schedule for weed control applications. It is
recommended that the plan be drafted with input from, and approval of, the local weed control
authority.
RFCc~VF DIVISI
q(~GO ~ MIfJ&RALS
4
