Way Co.'s Del Norte Pit <br />Enclosed are responses to your questions and items to c. <br />permit application exhibits as you requested. <br />results <br />arify the <br />Enclosed is a copy of the public notice as it appeared n the <br />Valley Couier Newspaper on March 12. A copy of the pub fisher's <br />affidavit will be mailed as soon as it becomes availabl . <br />Enclosed are copies of the registered mail receipts tha were <br />used to send notification letters to the immediately ad acent <br />landowners. Copies of the signed return receipts will e mailed <br />to you as soon as they are returned to me. <br />Exhibit A: <br />See enclosed legal description of the permit area, revi ed to <br />include your suggestions. <br />Exhibit B: <br />1) At this time, plans call for a total of less than 18 work <br />days per year at the Del Norte Pit. However, productio will not <br />be discontinued for more than 180 days during any singl period. <br />2) All available topsoil remaining in the permit area w 11 be <br />salvaged, stockpiled, and stabilized by planting as des ribed in <br />the revised exhibit "Mining Plan" (see enclosure). <br />3) Topsoil and crusher fines will be stabilized by seed ng with <br />Western Wheatgrass at a broadcast rate of 32 lbs. PLS/ cre. <br />4) At this time, an asphalt hot plant is not planned fo the Del <br />Norte Pit permit site. <br />Note also: the exhibit has been revised to state an exc vation <br />depth of 3 to 4 feet. <br />
