Plan states 24 inches of topsoil will be removed <br /> and stockpiled for use during reclamation. <br /> However, plan also states only 6 to 12 inches of <br /> topsoil will be replaced during reclamation. <br /> How can farming talte place on a 3:1 slope with <br /> 6 to 12 inches of topsoil? <br /> 5. Groundwater Flow <br /> A. Man states that mining will be carried out to <br /> the bedrock, dewatering as necessary. <br /> Shouldix t a 1 to 2 foot thick gravel layer be left <br /> to insure proper flow of groundwater across the <br /> site after reclamation? <br /> 6. Berms and Fences <br /> A. Plan states that overburden will be removed and <br /> used to build a 4 foot berm and 6 foot fence. <br /> How does he plan to build a 6 foot fence with <br /> overburden? <br /> What kind of a fence will it be? <br /> Who will maintain it? <br /> 7. Noise <br /> A. Plan states NO NOISE STUDIES WERE DONE. <br /> Why not? This operation IS NOIBEY and in a <br /> residential neighborhood. <br /> What sort of incrbase in noise will occur as he <br /> adds new equipment as operation expands? <br /> 8. Future use of land <br /> A. Plan states, at different times, the land will <br /> be used for residentail, agricultural, or <br /> industrial or business. <br /> Which will it be? We want a definite answer <br />
