Density tests performed on compacted soils to determine compliance with <br />these specifications shall be performed at the direction and expense of the <br />Owner. Nuclear Density Tests will be acceptable for homogeneous fill areas <br />if at least one Sand Cone Density Test is performed for every ten Nuclear <br />Density Tests. The Sand Cone Density Test must be taken adjacent to the <br />preceding Nuclear Density Test. <br />Classifications and compaction curves to be used with the Nuclear Density <br />Test shall be taken and submitted prior to construction.
