2. Atterberg Limits shall comply with the following criteria:
Liquid Limit: 30% or greater
Plasticity Index: 15% or greater
These tests are to be performed in accordance with AASHTO T89 and
T90.
3. Permeability on Remolded Sample: 4 x 10 8 (CM/Sec) Maximum
B. Type 2 Material
The Contractor shall use on-site materiels which are in reasonable
conformance with the following gradations and properties. Imported
material used to augment Type 2 material supplies will not be approved
unless it conforms to the following criteria:

This test is to be performed in accordance with AASHTO T27.
2. Atterberg limits shall comply with the following criteria:
Liquid Limit: 20to 30%
Plasticity Index: 6 to 15%
These tests are to be performed in accordance with AASHTO T89 and
T90.
3. Permeability on Remolded Sample: 6 x 10 7 (CM/Sec) Maximum
C. Type 3 Material
The Contractor may be able to use on-site materials from the area near the
river to obtain this material. He should be cognizant of the fact that most
on-site material used for Type 3 material shall conform to the following
criteria:
