Reclamation of this area will consist of reseeding the
dump area with grasses, shrubs and trees. Vegetation has re-established ~~
on the dump area during the idle years. It is not planned. to level
r
the settling ponds as they will continue to settle suspended solids ~ ~T,<<.•'
from the discharge water after activity underground ceases; thereby, N °° i~ „ C
removing these materials prior to discharge into Four Mile Creek. ,,.." ~~,• ~,d
~,
In time, the ponds will fill to capacity but the flow will continue
to be directed to Four Mile Creek. The larger culvert (36") to
control the flow. of drainage from the hillside will be removed when
no longer needed for rail haulage from the tunnel.
5. To prevent wind erosion, the exposed surfaces will
be controlled by chemical stabilizers and immediate placement of
C topsoil and seeding the south slope.
•
Drainages from the basin north of the Mill will be con-
\ r¢`~'F~
rS
~
trolled by diversion ditches around the stacking area. These are f'~ ~ ~,
a•
~k
calculated to accommodate the. 100 year flood and will be designed
fora PQ of 163 CFS.
