<br />Page 4 <br />Indian Ricegrass 2 <br />Yellow Sweetclover 2 <br />Sand Dropseed 2 {added by BLM 10/77} <br />The seedbed will be prepared by harrowing and seed will be <br />broadcast or hand sown at the rate specified above. <br />All revegetation details (mixtures, fertilization, methods, <br />mulching, etc.) are subject to change due to experimentation and <br />technological advances. All reclamation will be of the dryland <br />type without benefit of irrigation. <br />The proposed seed mixture is readily available at several <br />commercial seed dealers in the Grand Junction and Montrose area. <br />Preferred time of planting is late summer to early fall. <br />{Money has been allocated in the proposed Western Slope <br />operations budget for test plots. Hopefully, such factors as most <br />advantageous species, seeding rates, fertilization, mulching, etc., <br />can be experimented with using mine dump material as a growing <br />medium.
