<br />l~ <br />Barriers protect the property lines, Colorado River and associated riparian areas, Dry Creek, <br />Mamm Creek and the slough area. Barrier dimensions include: <br />^ Colorado River and riparian areas - 100 ft. <br />^ Dry Creek and Mamm Creek - 100 ft. <br />^ West Property Line - 150 ft. <br />• South Property Line adjacent to CDOT ROW - 50 ft. <br />^ Area adjacent to south edge of renewable resource area - 50 ft. <br />^ Slough Area - 50 ft. <br />In addition to the in pit crushing and screening equipment, the following facilities will likely be <br />installed during the life of the operation. <br />• Portable scale and house <br />• Concrete batch plant <br />• Asphalt plant <br />• Concrete products manufacturing <br />• Sand and gravel stockpiles <br />• Office trailer <br />• Portable shop <br />The portable scale and house will be installed near the access points for the mining areas as <br />required. The remaining facilities will be installed in the Dry Creek mining area. <br />Access to the pits and facilities is via an existing gavel frontage road on the north side of <br />Interstate 70. Three existing ranch accesses will be upgraded and tied into the existing frontage <br />road. These access roads are expected to remain after mining ceases to allow the landowners <br />access to their land. <br />The equipment to be used in the sand and gravel mining includes: <br />• Scrapers -topsoil removal, stockpiling and placement, overburden removal, <br />stockpiling and placement for reclamation <br />• Rubber Tired Front End Loader -sand and gravel removal, sand and gravel <br />stockpiling and removal after crushing and screening <br />• Trucks -hauling of sand and gravel <br />• Trackhoe -removal of sand and gravel if water is present in pit bottom <br />• Bulldozer -pushing gravel and rough grading of reclaimed slopes and wetland <br />areas <br />• Farm Tractor -preparation of soil surface for reclamation <br />The production rate is estimated at 100,000 tons for the first year and 200,000 tons per year for <br />the remainder of the project. Production rates are expected to vary with market demand. Table <br />
