Thus, t~is 5s <br />not to be considered an 'official species 'list' but rather informal <br />consultation. Informal consultation lncluies all contacts, discussions, <br />correspondence, etc. between tCa Federal agency or its destgnoted nonfederal <br />representative, and the Service, that take place prior to the initiation of <br />any nocessary formal consultation. If requested we will submit art official <br />list to the lead Federal agency. That agency wljl be required under section T <br />(a) (2) of the Act to initiate formal consultation if it determines that its <br />action oay affect arty listed apocies or its critical habitat.
