~;

EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN
The land surrounding this mine is range and the reclamation goal of
this mining project is to return the affected area to rangeland.
Implementation of the reclamation plan will have no adverse affect
upon water, air, soil, vegetation, or wildlife surrounding the pit area.
As past mining activity was done with little thought toward reclama-
tion, there is insufficient existing overburden to be used as topsoiling
material on all the "mined-out" portions of the affected area. Therefore
some portions of the pit will be fertilized, seeded, and mulched directly
on subsoil. It is anticipated that vegetation will grow in the variable
sandy and clayey gravels, however the establishment of a viable community
will require a longer time period than is usually the case.
Upon the completion of mining, all excavated slopes will be left no
steeper than 3:1. Grading will be done with erosion control and final
natural appearing topography in mind.
• Overburden stripped and stockpiled prior to mining of the north pit
slopes will be respread along the northern pit areas at a depth of at
least 4". Other pit areas that cannot be topsoiled will be scarified
where necessary.
All affected areas will be fertilized, seeded, and mulched as per
the attached seeding plan.
The District Materials Engineer must approve all backslopes and recla-
mation performed before the pit can be released as reclaimed.
All unsightly things such as large rocks, roots, etc., will be buried
or hauled away.
