f
L_J
stormwater Management Plan
Necessary equipment to implement aclean-up is available to personnel. A record of spill
incidents and corrective actions is maintained on file with the plan.
f. Best Management Practices
stormwater diversion: Clean stormwater is diverted from operational areas of the facility
both by siting and by clean water diversion and interceptor ditches (see Maps 13 and 14).
Stabilization: Stabilization of non-traffic disturbed areas by revegetation is used extensively.
Those areas subject to traffic are stabilized with gravel. Roads are out-sloped where
appropriate. Grades of ditches are designed to handle water velocities without erosion, or
ditches are lined with riprap or shotcrete.
Materials handling and spill prevention: No active materials storage or handling operations
are accomplished in areas subject to this plan (topsoil storage areas are static and stabilized).
In the event of spills, anywhere on the site, they are to be promptly cleaned up and the
contaminated materials properly disposed of.
Maintenance: Roads, ditches, culverts, graveled areas, and landscaped areas are to be
• maintained in good repair.
g. Employee Education
Initial employee briefings include coverage of the commitment to the goals and objectives
of the Clean Water Act, and planned spill response, good housekeeping and material
management practices. These topics will again be covered at ]east annually in employee
briefings, and sooner as may be required in the event actual practice warrants such reviews.
h. Testing for Non-stormwater
No testing for non-stormwater is accomplished for discharges outside the operational
permitted areas.
6. Comprehensive Inspection
stormwater control features and stabilized disturbed areas will be inspected by the
Environmental Engineer at least twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.
• Page 6 of 7 Pages
