f <br />L_J <br />stormwater Management Plan <br />Necessary equipment to implement aclean-up is available to personnel. A record of spill <br />incidents and corrective actions is maintained on file with the plan. <br />f. Best Management Practices <br />stormwater diversion: Clean stormwater is diverted from operational areas of the facility <br />both by siting and by clean water diversion and interceptor ditches (see Maps 13 and 14). <br />Stabilization: Stabilization of non-traffic disturbed areas by revegetation is used extensively. <br />Those areas subject to traffic are stabilized with gravel. Roads are out-sloped where <br />appropriate. Grades of ditches are designed to handle water velocities without erosion, or <br />ditches are lined with riprap or shotcrete. <br />Materials handling and spill prevention: No active materials storage or handling operations <br />are accomplished in areas subject to this plan (topsoil storage areas are static and stabilized). <br />In the event of spills, anywhere on the site, they are to be promptly cleaned up and the <br />contaminated materials properly disposed of. <br />Maintenance: Roads, ditches, culverts, graveled areas, and landscaped areas are to be <br />• maintained in good repair. <br />g. Employee Education <br />Initial employee briefings include coverage of the commitment to the goals and objectives <br />of the Clean Water Act, and planned spill response, good housekeeping and material <br />management practices. These topics will again be covered at ]east annually in employee <br />briefings, and sooner as may be required in the event actual practice warrants such reviews. <br />h. Testing for Non-stormwater <br />No testing for non-stormwater is accomplished for discharges outside the operational <br />permitted areas. <br />6. Comprehensive Inspection <br />stormwater control features and stabilized disturbed areas will be inspected by the <br />Environmental Engineer at least twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. <br />• Page 6 of 7 Pages <br />
