RESPONSE: <br />Peerless Resources, Inc. has previously delineated a reclamation soil <br />testing plan on page 2.05-34 of the permit application. Although <br />Peerless Resources, Inc. now plans to place approximately 6 to 12 inches <br />of plant growth material over the graded area, the soil testing plan for <br />evaluation of the seed bed at the mine site will not change. Peerless <br />Resources, Inc. will still plan to sample the plant growth materia] for <br />nitrate nitrogen, organic matter, phosphorus, and potassium. Based on <br />the analyses of the soil samples, the final recommended rates for <br />fertilization will be determined. Prior to the implementation of any <br />fertilization, Peerless Resources, Inc. will contact the Division for <br />approval. <br />Post-Mining Land Use - Rule 2.05.5 <br />1. This use is <br />consistent with the existing pre-mining use and will provide an <br />appropriate postmining land use. <br />Mitigation of the Impacts of the Mining Operation - Rule 2.05.6 <br />1. The a licant needs to elaborate on the source of water which will <br />be used for the ust su ression on the hau roads and facilities <br />areas at t e mine site. <br />RESPONSE: <br />When necessary to control dust at the mine site, Peerless Resources, <br />Inc. will utilize water from the sediment pond for dust suppression.
