Box 179 Fort Garland, Colorado 81133 Re: Powell Construction Company Pit - File No. 77-53 Dear Mrs. Powell: I have reviewed all of the materials that have been submitted concerning the limited impact permit application for the above captioned operation. I have scheduled this application for consideration by the Mined Land Reclamation Board during the April 21-22, 1982 meeting. I have several questions and comments to which you should reply before this meeting. These matters are outlined below on an exhibit - by - exhibit basis. Any exhibits or parts thereof not mentioned are considered adequate for Board consideration at this time. I am enclosing the receipt for Your $85.00 application fee as well as my inspection report of 9/10/81 that you returned to our Division. I retained a copy of this report and do not need the original for our file. I have also enclosed the two copies of the application form that you submitted to us. Please make the fallowing additions to them both and return them with your reply to this letter: 1. Add the elevation of the pit to item 10. 2. Clarify the proposed future land use under item 15. Will this be agricultural (for grazing, for example) or perhaps be developed 19ter? If the area is merely to be stabilized and left vacant, please clarify this. 3. Please sign the forms at the bottom right on the back. Exhibit A The legal description of the pit is now given as the NF}L of Section 20, T30S, R72W. Please give this description more precisely to the nearest quarter section (or sections).
