• 4.15 REVEGETATION REQUIREMENTS
4.15.1 General Requirements
Sunbelt will establish on all affected land within the permit area a
diverse, effective, and permanent vegetative cover of the same seasonal
variety as that native to the area. The vegetation cover will be
predominately native species; the seed mixture to be planted is
discussed in Section 2.05.4. The details of the revegetation plan are
also discussed in Section 2.05.4.
4.15.2 Use of Introduced Species
Examination of the seed mixture proposed for the reclamation indicates
that Sunbelt desires to include some introduced species in the mixture
for which regulatory approval is required. Introduced species included
in the seed mixture are shown in Table 7, Proposed Seed Mixture. Of the
• 17 species proposed, 11 species are native. On a seed weight basis, 64
percent of the seeds to be planted are native species on the site. The
introduced species are included in the mixture because they are
necessary
to control erosion and because they provide forage for
wildlife and other animals in the area.
4.15.3 Seeding and Plantin
The seeding and planting of the disturbed area will be conducted during
the first normal period for favorable planting conditions after final
preparation for seeding or planting. Planting for Sunbelt is set forth
in Section 2.05.4.

4.15-1
