~.qq DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY <br />~~ l~l~'°w U.S. ARMY ENGINEER DISTRICT, SACRAMENTO <br />~' r ~ CORPS OF ENGINEERS <br />1325 J STREET <br />SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA 95BiM2922 <br />REPLY TO <br />AT TE MTIOM Of REGIONAL GENERAL PERMIT NUMBER GP037 <br />STREAM STABILIZATION <br />MESTERN COLORADO <br />EFFECTIVE DATE: EXPIRATION DATE: <br />JANUARY 6, 1992 JANUARY 6, 1997 <br />In accordance with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section <br />10 oi' the Rivers and Harbors Act, the District Engineer, U.S. <br />Army, Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, hereby, authorizes <br />certain discharges of dredged and fill material associated with <br />stream bank and st.rexm bed stabilization work. <br />LOCATION: This Regional Genera] Permit (RCP) is applicable <br />t.o waterways in western Colorado within the boundaries of the <br />Sacramento Dist.rict.. This area encompasses all rivers, creeks, <br />lakes and waterways west of the Continental Divide in Colorado. <br />SPECIAL PROVISION: In accordance with the Endangered Species Act <br />(16 U.S.C. 1531 et. seq.) and after discussion with the Fish and <br />Wildlife Service, the Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District <br />identifies the following waters as occupied habitat for the <br />Colorado squawfish (Ptvchocheilus ucius), humpback chub (Gila <br />• cvnha), bonytail chub (Gila eleKans) or the razorback sucker <br />(Xvrauchen texanus) [REFER ALSO TO THE ATTACHED HAP]: <br />1. The YAMPA RIVER from the Green River confluence to <br />Hayden, Colorado at the confluence of Dry Creek; <br />2. The GREEN RIVER in the extreme northwestern corner of <br />Colorado; <br />3. 'fhe WHITE RIVER from the Utah state line to Meeker, <br />Colorado at the State Highway number 13 bridge; <br />4. The COLORADO RIVER from the Utah state line to Rifle, <br />Colorado at the State Highway number 13 bridge; <br />5. The GUNNISON RIVER from the Colorado River confluence <br />to the Escalante Canyon bridge; <br />6. The LITTLE SNAKE RIVER in Colorado west of Baggs, <br />Wyoming; <br />7. The SAN JUAN RIVER in the extreme southwestern corner of <br />Colorado; and <br />8. The LOWER 1/2 MILE OF ALL ADJACENT TRIBUTARIES of the <br />• above seven river reaches. <br />
