• In many cases the slopes. of land in disturbed areas are more than ten <br />(10) percent, such as the Roadside Refuse Pile, the Cameo Refuse <br />Piles, and the naturally occurring slopes in all of the disturbed areas <br />except the Unit Train Loading Facility and the Overland Conveyor. <br />None of the land within the disturbed areas is irrigated, nor has a <br />developed water supply. Groundwater in these areas is of poor quality <br />and not suitable for irrigation water (see Tab Section 7, Groundwater <br />Hydrology). Average annual precipitation is 9.0 inches (see Tab Section <br />8, Climatological Information). <br />Rock outcrops occur in most of the disturbed areas and sandstone and <br />shale chips cover the surface of areas except the Unit Train Loading <br />Facility and Overland Conveyor. <br />• A soil survey of the area shows no map units with designations of prime <br />farmland. <br />The applicant does hereby request that all areas shown as disturbed land <br />be given a negative determination with respect to prime farmland on the <br />basis that they meet one or more of the criteria listed in Rule 2.04.12(2). <br />• <br />g-7 (Rev. 12/02) <br />
