Winevada Series (R8) <br />. ~ The Winevada series is a member of the fine loamy, mixed family of <br />• Pachic Cryoborolls. <br />Typical Pedon: Winevada fine sandy loam <br />All 0- 4"---Very dark gray (lOYR 3/1) fine sandy loam, black (lOYR <br />2/1) moist; weak fine granular structure; soft, very <br />friable, non-sticky, non-plastic; neutral; clear smooth <br />boundary. <br />A12 4-21"-Dark grayish brown (lOYR 4/2) sandy clay loam, very <br />dark brown (LOYR 2/2) moist; weak medium subangular blocky <br />parting to weak fine subangular blocky structure; slightly <br />hard, friable, slightly sticky, slightly plastic; neutral; <br />gradual wavy boundary. <br />A13 21-28"---Dark grayish brown (lOYR 4/2) sandy clay loam, very <br />dark brown (lOYR 2/2) moist; weak medium subangular blocky <br />• parting to weak fine subangular blocky structure; soft, <br />friable, slightly sticky, slightly plastic; neutral; <br />abrupt wavy boundary. <br />R -28"--Fractured hard sandstone. <br />Depth to bedrock ranges from 20 to 40 inches. Rock fragments range <br />from 0 to 20 percent by volume and occur most commonly in the lower A <br />horizons and are commonly from 2 to 4 inches in diameter. <br />A horizon has a value of 3 to 4 dry, 2 to 3 moist, and chroma of 1 <br />through 3. <br />• <br />
