Please respond on a point-by-point basis in the order given below.
In general, however, the application is pretty yood -- you seem to have
conceptualized the intent of the law. These inquiries are thus
principally written to help you to ultimately achieve your goal of
wildlife conservation.
exhibit B - Mining Plan
1. Vlease indicate the thickness of topsoil present (mean), and
indicate the volume of topsoil which will be salvaged for use in
reclamation.
2. As a stabilization measure, Rule 6.4(a) requires that topsoil
stockpile(s) be planted with a vegetative cover. We would recommend you
broadcast (and rake) 15 lbs/acre Western Wheatgrass.
3. Indicate where the topsoil will be stockpiled.
4. Indicate the maximum depth to be mined.
~ 5. The staff encourages the operator to post (flagging, stakes, etc.)
tree permit boundaries and topsail stockpiles. Tnis posting is not
required uy law but will provide fur a more orderly operation and may aid
in avuidiny possiole future proulems involving permit area - property
boundary conflicts and unauthorized topsoil removal.
a23 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
