i. ~

COOLEY RFSERVOIIi AND FULTON WILDLIFE AREA PTT
EXHIBIT L -RECLAMATION COSTS
For reclamation cost estimates, CAMAS has elected to utilize the figure for the greatest amount of
slurry wall that could be installed at any one time and the lazgest phase of disturbance in the permit
area. Based on this assumption, the reclamation costs would consist of the following:
1.. Phase 2-4
Slurry Wall - At any one time, the greatest extent of slurry wall construction would be
14,168'±. The proposed slurry wall is assumed to average of 28' deep using
an average depth of 25' to bedrock and penetrating 3' into the bedrock. A
20% contingency figure is used as a failure rate.
2. Phases 4
Backfill - Backfill of slopes of the Phase 4 Reservoir Area, or 482,600± cubic yards of
material. All material necessary for backfilling will come from on-site sources.
Phases 4
Topsoil - Topsoiling of slopes of the Phase 4 Reservoir Area, or 17,874± cubic yards.
Once again, all topsoil replacement material will come from on-site sources.
4. Phase 4
Revegetation- Revegetation of 1 l .0± acres.
Other assumptions are as follows:
I~~'"`
~!~ ~,C~"
All mining and processing will be done with portable equipment, except for the permanent
conveyor system and the plant facilities. A $50,000 figure is assumed to be sufficient to
remove these items system if necessary, as DMG would recover any other costs through the
sale of salvageable equipment.
2. No fencing is proposed to be removed, as access to the property will continue to be limited.
3. Unit prices are assumed to reflect current market conditions and include contractor overhead
and profit. A five percent administrative contingency for the DMG to adminster the work is
added to the cost estimate.
Based on the preceeding, the estimated costs for reclamation bonding are calculated on the next page. r
dU" ~ nit-~" ~ ~ ~/
`~p~M~~
1 ~5 -('
