RECEIVED <br />MAY 15 1996 <br />~.,ms~onotMinerals&GeObgy EXHIBIT "D" <br />MINING PLAN INFORMATION <br />(a) Description of the methods of mining in each stage of the <br />operation as related to surface disturbances on affected land: <br />Mining methods will be consistent throughout the life of this <br />operation. The pit is generally underladen by gravelly alluvial ~ <br />materials deposited in ancient times. The applicant will mine the <br />deposits of sand and gravel through excavation and earth-moving <br />equipment and may provide a rock crusher on the premises and <br />screening and transportation on and off the premises of the <br />materials would be by dump truck or tractor-trailer bellydump. ~i <br />(b) Earth moving: <br />The earthmoving equipment used on the site will consist of <br />front-end loaders, dozers, scrapers, blades or, any combination <br />thereof. <br />(c) Water diversions and improvements: <br />There is no water source available and is not expected and the <br />operation will not affect any surface or subsurface water right <br />during the mining operation. No water will be used or is necessary <br />for the operation. <br />(d) Size of the area to be worked at any one time: <br />The applicant anticipates working approximately 12 acres at <br />one time and referring to Exhibit "C", the pre-mining and mining <br />plan map, the applicant will proceed in each numbered parcel in <br />numerical order from one to eight in approximately {Jest to [~st <br />direction. <br />The operator would leave a 50' perimeter around the site <br />unmined and maintain a minimum of 200' distance from the Arkansas <br />River. <br />(e) An approximate time table to determine the mining operation: <br />The Applicant anticipates the useful life of the pit to be <br />twenty years and would begin the mining operation on the Western <br />side of the site working in numerical order of the approximate 12- <br />acre sites to the ~flst, working approximately 12 acres at a time. <br />The applicant anticipates the operation would last 20 years, which, <br />of course, depends on the sale and use of the sand and gravel <br />materials from the site.
