Revised 1/11/80
• Section 780.21(b) Continued.
194. Figure 32, p. 780-153, has been revised to show the
new average CN, runoff volume and peak discharge (100
year - 24 hour). Backup calculations have been added to
Appendix C which has been added to Exhibit 13.
Ditches were re-sized in accordance to the instructions
given in the above reference. Plate I, Sedimentation
Ponds, Energy Mines No. 1 and 2, and Eckman Park found in
Exhibit 13, has been revised accordingly. Ditch depths
were increased from 0 to 0.3 feet. Backup calculations
have been added as a Supplement to Appendix B of Exhibit
• 13 in the "Ditches" section.
Strategic placement of small check dams is another impor-
tant measure which will be utilized to reduce runoff and
sediment yield. Check dams wil be placed in draws and
gullies wherever and whenever needed to provide local
control on an individual basis. By using numerous check
dams, significant cumulative control of runoff and sedi-
ment yield will be provided on a collective basis. Prob-
lem areas such as unexpected gully erosion, increased
runoff or unanticipated soil loss and sediment transport
•
780-151(b)
