Ran a of Characteristics: Aaberg was described and sampled at profile description site M47. The calcic horizon has less than 15% carbonates. All other
parameters are within t e official range of tha racteris tics. Depth to the calcic horizon ranges from 20 to 35 inches. Rock fragment content ranges from 0 to
20 percent in the C horizon. Reaction is neutral to mildly alkaline. Clay content of the control section ranges from 35 to 59 percent. Dominant vegetation
at the sample site includes low sagebrush, western whea tgrass, snowberry, and arrowleaf balsomroot.
