Existing structures on the site property include two electrical power lines. These lines are indicated on the site map. Other than the power lines, no structures currently exist. B. Proposed structure at this site is to be the development of an eight-acre lake (see reclamation map). Overall excavation is to be to a depth of 20 feet or approximately to an elevation of 9,580 feet. A sheet depicting anticipated cross-sections is Included. 3. I'loodprooftng Measures A. Three areas have been Sclentified along the south property boundary (that Ss also tiie river bank) that need to be reinforced. These areas are Indicated on the site map. The proposed method to stahllize these areas is to place rubbleized concrete in the suhJect sections. This will protect the dirt bank from direct water flow in the event of high water. This placement will take place above normal water line, thus eliminating the need for an Army Corps of Engineers 409 Permit. B. Additionally, soil stabilization will be accomplished in the form of tree plantings along the length of the property line that is adjacent to the Colorado River. Trees will be planted at a minimum of 10-foot intervals. 9. Effects of Development A. It is not expected that the proposed development of this site, as indicated, will affect either the flood water height, velocity, or direction of flow daring a 100-year flood event. There is only a small portion of th.1s property tf~et is Included in the ]00-year floodplain according to US Army Corps of Engineers and Mesa County engineering floodplain data. The enclosed map identifies the floodplain designations. B. The development of this site, as described, will not influence erosion of any downstream or adjacent properties. C. N/A D. No materials will be stored in any area designated as being 1n the 100-year Ploodplatn.
