EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN

Reclamation of the existing pit area west of 23 Road has been
completed and the area has been reclaimed. Vegetation has been re-
established along the banks of the pond.
The existing pit area east of 23 Road has been partially reclaimed.
The banks of the pit have been sloped with a 3:1 (horizontal to vertical)
ratio, and topsoil placed on them. Seeding of the slopes and disturbed
areas along the bank will be done in the Fall of 1979.
When the mining operation has been completed in Pit Areas 1 and II,
•
they will be left as ponds with a combined surface area of approximately
6 acres. Topsoil will be placed on side slopes (minimum depth of six
inches) to the water surface elevation. Side slopes of these ponds will
be maintained at a ratio of 3:1 from the existing ground surface to 10 feet
below the anticipated water surface. It is expected that the water surface
elevation will be to S feet below the existing ground level. Side slopes
and disturbed areas around the pits will have topsoil placed on them and
be seeded in the fall of the year in which they have been excavated.
Reclamation of the processing site will be undertaken after the mining
activity has been completed and all stockpiled material has been removed
from the site. It is anticipated that it will be from six months to a year
after mining has been completed. After the stockpiles have been removed,
the area will be scarified to loosen the soil, then reseeded.
•
