As the various pond areas are mined out <br />a dike r~aill be constructed from the ton soil deposit to impond the <br />;eater at increasingly higher levels to maintain a ~:;ater level relative <br />I <br />to the original ground elevation. <br />The undisturly~d areas ;gill be leased for livestock grazing. <br />The top soil ti~ai11 be stockpiled on an undisturbed area until it is <br />used in the dike construction. The crushed material ~ai11 be stockpiled <br />on an area where the top soil has been removed and adjacent to the <br />mining operations. The major road access vain be in the ditch reservati <br />and in the boundary set back areas. From three tv Five acres vain be <br />worked at any one time. Moderate disturbance ~;aill be adhered to to seta <br />as much grazin; lands for the longest period of time and to accomplish <br />the planned pond system as shown in the reclamation plan. <br />The method of operation ~°~ill consist of 1. Pumninb the area to be <br />mined and rJastin the water in an established lo~:rer pond or in the <br />irrigation ditch for ~;;hich Larimer County has a permit so to do., 2. <br />%xcavation of the top soil by scrapers and push cats, 3. Pemovel of <br />the gravel to the crusher by bull dozers :~:ith a dragline excavatin_ <br />drain ditches around the downstream _rerimeters as re~7uired, 4. Placing <br />of the milled material into the crusher r:ith a dra~line or rubber tired <br />loader, and 5. stockpilen ti.e crushed :naterisl with a conveyor belt <br />and a bull dozer.. <br /> <br />
