(Golder) is pleased to submit this weekly summary of Phase Na, b, and c Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of August Sa'through August l la', 2001. The weather during this reporting period was cleaz to cloudy. Approximate daytime low temperatures ranged from 45° F to 57° F, with highs ranging from 68° F to 78° F. Afternoon rain was recorded on August 6a', 9c', and l0a'. Weather observations were made on the six days worked of this seven-day reporting period. Construction Synopsis Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthwork contractor for the Phase Na, b, and c constmction. Ames conducted Phase Na, b, and c construction activities on six days of this seven-day reporting period (August 6~' through August l la'). Phase IVa Ames continued Structural Fill placement and compaction efforts in the Upper Arequa Gulch azea. Materials were loaded by a Caterpillar 375 track-hoe and a Caterpillar 9921oader into 777 haul trucks from a clearing and borrow azea east of Highway 67 and west of the Phase Na limits. Stmctural Fill (SF) material was then offloaded and spread by a DI O dozer into lifts not exceeding 3 feet in thickness. Structural Fill gradation vazied at times and the lift thickness ranged between 2 and 3 feet in thickness accordingly. Ames removed deleterious and oversized material from the fill area.
