• EXHIBIT B - MINING PLAN •
This mine is to incorporate old mine workings and a
• neiv adit in such a way as to minimize new development.
The adit is to be driven for approximately 100 feet at ,
a lOq~ slope and then level off for 500 feet orhere it will
break into an existing drift which will be refurbished
so that it can accommodate modern day equipment. From
these old workings, a drift will be driven to kno~•m ore
horizons.
All of these 8 ft, by 9 ft, development headings will
be advanced by incorporating conventional drill-blast
techniques, 1 yard loader and 5 ton buggies. Rock sup~~ort
will be by conventional rock bolting and timbering wherever _
required. Longhole drilling :rill be conducted in the drifts
• as the drifts advance to4rard t'ne target areas.
Mining will commence as soon as the development is com-
plete for each stoping area. A modified room and pillar
stoping method will be used to mine the ore. The stoping
method is similar to the one presently used in the Uravan
Mineral Belt where ore and waste pillars are left for
support and a method knoYm as "split shooting" is used
to separate the ore from the waste. The equipment and
mining techniques described in the development phase
will be utilized in the mining phase.
Three ventilation holes used in conjunction with ex-
fisting ~rorkings vrill be needed for proper ventilation of
. this mine. Very little if any near power lines will be
needed for this mine because there are numerious lines
already existing.
