The grasses had a relative biomass of 83%, forbs, 17°,G, and shrubs about
I%.
Subirrigated Shrub (Tables 2.4-22 and 2.4-23)
The affected area in this vegetation Type hod an annual production of 180 gm/0.5
m2, the second highest in productivity. The shrubs contributed a relative biomass of
60°,6. The major shrub species were Wood's Rose, Willows, and Mountain 5nowberry.
The grasses and forbs each hod a relative biomoss of about 20°~. The production rate
for the control area was considerably below That of the affected area. Total annual
production in The control area was only 80 gm/0.5 m2. Of This 80 grams, forbs had
• the largest relative production with 43 %. Grasses and shrubs each contributed obout
30°~. Of the 66 grams in the
affected area, shrubs were the major contributor with a relative biomass of 64;0.
The dominant shrubs were Big Sagebrush, 5nowberry, and Silver Sogebrush. Relative
biomass for the grasses was 21% and for the forbs 15%.
