Long, <br />Division DirecTOr <br />The application for a 110(2) Mining and Reclamation Permit, File No. M-92-045, <br />was deemed complete on April 16, 1992. Your application has been scheduled <br />for a decision by the Division on May 18, 1992. <br />Before your application can be approved by the Division, you will need to <br />complete the following notice requirements and address the following adequacy <br />items in order to satisfy the applicable requirements of C.R.S. 34-32-101, <br />et sec. and the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board. Please provide a response to each item by May 15, 1992. <br />Adequacy Items <br />1. In salvaging the thin topsoil, you say you will "reapply plant <br />growth medium." Please specify what that medium is and how it will <br />provide for reestablishment of plant growth. <br />2. The Division suggests that you contact the Division of Wildlife to <br />provide verification that no critical or endangered wildlife occur <br />within the permit area. <br />3. The Division is interested in the Soil Conservation Service's <br />response to ycur inquiries about the area covered by this <br />application. Please send a copy of that response to the Division. <br />4. Regarding the Mining Plan, will you be reclaiming all areas of the <br />pit disturbed by mining at the end of each year? How much ground <br />(in acres or square feet) will be disturbed and reclaimed each year? <br />5. In Exhibit E, do you have the Twin Lakes water share secured? <br />Please describe and locate on a map the size and dimensions of the <br />water ponds to be used as a water source ahd.how they will be <br />constructed. Please include the specifications and brand names of <br />the vinyl material to be used to line the ponds. <br />6. In Exhibit F, did you obtain a National Pollution Discharge and <br />Elimination System permit from the Colorado Department of Health? <br />The Division suggests you contact the Department of Health, Water <br />Quality Control Division concerning the possible requirement of a <br />Stormwater Discharge permit. <br /> <br />
