~.
• ' A-2.6.1 GC-3A TEST
Well GC-3A was used as an observation well in a multi-well pump test on
September 23, 1985 and is located 20.9 feet east of pumping well GC-3. Table A-8
presents the aquifer-test data for observation well GC-3A. Total drawdown in well
GC-3A only reached 0.17 feet after nearly 380 minutes of pumping.
Figures A-8 and A-9 present the semi-log and log-log plots of the drawdown
data for well GC-3A, respectively. A good straight line fit of the data on a semi-
log plot yielded a transmissivity of 8500 gal/day/ft and a permeability of 37.9
ft/day. A specific yield of .03 was calculated for the alluvial aquifer near well
GC-3A. The log-log plot of the drawdown data is presented in Figure A-9. Using the
,r • match of the log-log plot of the drawdown data and a Theia type curve yields a
•
transmissivity of 8800 gal/day/ft. Permeability was calculated to be 24 ft/day and
a specific yield of .07. These values agree closely to those in the semi-log
Jacob's analysis and are thought to be a representative transmitting property for
the alluvium near well GC-3A.
A-2.6.2 GC-3B TEST
Well GC-3B was also used as an observation well in the CC-3 multi-well test.
Well GC-3B is located 26.1 feet west of the pumping well GC-3. Table A-9 presents
the aquifer-test data for well GC-3B through the 378 minutes it was monitored.
The straight line fit of the drawdown data presented on a semi-log plot in
Figure A-10 yields a transmissivity of 7700 gal/day/ft.
