~~
•
for 30 minutes after airlifting had stopped. Data collected during the airlifting
and the recovery test is presented i^ Figure A-6..
Recovery data is presented on a semi-log plot on Figure A-6. The straight
line fit of the recovery data yields a transmissivity value of 29 gal/day/ft for the
Third White Sandstone aquifer near well GC-2. Permeability was calculated to be
0.07 ft/day. The good straight line fit of the data for well GC-2 is thought to
give an accurate transmissivity value for the aquifer in this area.
A-2 .6 GC-3 TEST
A multi-well pump test was conducted September 23, 1985 on the alluvial
aquifer near well GC-3 using wells GC-3A and GC-3B as observation wells and well
l
• GC-3 as the pumping well. Water-level data was collected for nearly 380 minutes of
pumping in well GC-3. An average discharge rate of 4.6 gpm was maintained. Table
A-7 presents the aquifer-test data for well GC-3. Drawdowns on Table A-7 were
corrected for aquifer thinning. Section A-3 .0, Part A of Appendix V discusses
aquifer thinning.
A straight line fit of the data in Figure A-7 yields a transmissivity and
permeability of 520 gal/day/ft and 1.14 ft/day, respectively. The mid-time data was
used for the straight line fit because a slight decrease in discharge caused a shift
in the early data. This value is thought to be lower than the transmissivity for
the alluvium near well GC-3.
i
A-4 (~9A5~Q FAQ 1 ~'8a
