Dept. of Natural Resources <br />1. Yes some areas outside of the creek bottom have been <br />and will be disturbed by the mining operation. This is <br />the area used for the clay pit, and the area used for storage <br />and machine parking and maneuvering. Soil Conservation <br />Service has been asked for form CO-ECS-2 with suggestions <br />for revegstation. <br />The area shown on exhibit C-1 is a~~x~xiama approximately <br />$.17 Acres. The permitted area does not need to be any bigger <br />than this. <br />The pit will be used for less than 1$0 days per year <br />and no more than 70,000 tons of material will be mined in any <br />one year. <br />The pit is to be used for a source of gravel and clay <br />for road maintenance of roads in the immediate area. <br />Exhibit D <br />1. As noted above SCS has been asked for Form CO-ECS-2. <br />The pit is located in the bottom of the Arickaree River. <br />The surrounding land is pasture, not suited for farming. <br />The most abundant natural grass is Buffalo. <br />
