Files Search Results <br />A files search for 12 sections in and neaz the project's APE was completed through the <br />Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (OAHP) on-line database Compass on January <br />4, 2006 (Table 2). Five of these projects are related to energy exploration and extraction. Only one <br />project deals with communications. Three of these projects cross the APE of the current project <br />(refer to Table ]and Figures ], 2 and 3). These previous projects cover large areas including 23 <br />of the proposed core holes (Table 1). Upon consultation with the BLM Little Snake Field Office <br />azchaeologist, the Hayden Gulch West Coal Mine Area survey (BLM project no. 17-82) was <br />deemed adequate and no survey was conducted for core holes located within this area. <br />As a result of these inventories, eight dendro-art, five prehistoric lithic scatters, two <br />historic trash scatters, one historic foundation, one historic cabin, one historic well, and seven <br />isolated finds were noted (Table 3).
